Tell your story from script to screen while developing a deep understanding of visual media. As a film and television major, you’ll immerse yourself in the complete creative and analytical process: writing original scripts; mastering industry-standard gear; collaborating on crew productions; and studying the history, culture, and theory of moving images. Ultimately, your creative work culminates on the big screen, where you’ll watch your visions come to life in our dedicated, stadium-seated campus theater.

Course Selection

Your journey will balance courses like Introduction to Digital Filmmaking and The Art of Editing, which are focused on core technical skills, with courses rich in film and television analysis, history, and theory. Because the major is housed within the School of the Arts and Communication, you also have the unique flexibility to cross-pollinate your studies with coursework in animation, graphic design, photography, and interactive media to tailor your degree to your specific goals.
