Are you an in-service music educator who wants practical, music-specific professional development? TCNJ’s graduate certificate in conducting (instrumental and choral tracks) pairs educators with TCNJ’s world-class conducting faculty for a unique, highly personalized program. Refine your physical gesture, develop your rehearsal technique, explore score study, and advance your conducting career. The program includes a capstone conducting recital, with the option for it to be completed with a TCNJ large ensemble or your own school ensemble.

Who Should Pursue This Program?
With a flexible 12–15 credit curriculum, TCNJ’s unique graduate certificate in conducting is designed to meet your goals and is available to educators with an earned bachelor’s or master’s degree:
- Already have a graduate degree? Earn 15 credits of music-specific training and move up the pay scale.
- Earn a 30-credit master’s degree at TCNJ by stacking the conducting certificate with another one of TCNJ’s graduate certificates.
- Prepare for and become more competitive for professional and graduate conducting degree auditions.
