Gain advanced clinical decision-making and critical-thinking skills to accurately assess the health of families and adults. In this fully accredited program, you’ll enhance your skills in differential diagnosis, diagnostic reasoning, and caring for vulnerable populations. Complete this program of up to 18 credits in two semesters part time with guidance from faculty advisors to plan your studies and ensure you stay on track.

Who Should Pursue This Program?
Nurse practitioners with an MSN in the areas of adult, geriatric, or adult/gerontological primary care who want to better treat individuals of all ages. You must be a practicing RN with a bachelor’s in nursing, and have successfully completed courses of at least 3 credits each in human growth and development, health assessment, community health nursing, mental health nursing, and psychology.

Curriculum
This program is designed for nurse practitioners who have graduated from a master’s degree program that prepares adult, geriatric, or adult/ gerontological primary care nurse practitioners and who want to expand their scope of practice to include the entire family.
