Embrace technology as a creative tool to express, communicate, empower, and entertain. In this multidisciplinary program, you’ll develop the design and media skills to drive innovation in a wide range of industries: game design, animation, web design, music and audio technology, digital fabrication, creative coding, and interaction design. Our program combines a strong technical foundation with a deep examination of theory, teamwork strategies, design studio methods, community engagement, and cultural contexts, ultimately equipping you to excel in a dynamic career or to pursue graduate studies.

Experiential Learning 
You’ll be encouraged to develop proficiency and cultivate professional connections through faculty-mentored, credit-bearing internships beginning in your junior year. You can also gain experience creating original work through community-based projects. On-campus organizations like AIGA, AMPD, Arter’s Market, Lions Gaming, the Game Design Club, Girls Who Code College Loop, SIGGRAPH, and RAM offer additional student-led opportunities.
Internships
Students have interned at organizations including Amazon, American Museum of Natural History, Canon, Dreamworks, Fidelity Investments, Focus Features, Goldman Sachs, Laptop Mag, Microsoft, MTV Networks, NBC Universal, NFL Films, NPR, Pearson, and Sesame Workshop.
State-of-the-Art Facilities
Students brainstorm, innovate, and achieve breakthroughs with the latest technology and tools in TCNJ’s Art and Interactive Multimedia Building. It’s home to high-end computer labs, the TCNJ Makerspace, a professional-quality recording studio, and flexible workspaces for developing video animations in addition to virtual and augmented reality.
As an IMM student, you can also access computer labs with iMacs containing the full Adobe Creative Suite, Unity, Maya, and other essential software; high-end photo and video cameras; VR headsets; mobile devices; lighting equipment; and much more.
