Get a jumpstart and enter the workforce with a professional degree. Through a formal partnership between TCNJ and Bryn Mawr College’s Graduate School of Social Work and Social Research ( GSSWSR), qualified students are selected to apply for early admission into the Master of Social Service program as early as your sophomore year, and also receive advanced standing and a 50% tuition scholarship at Bryn Mawr, saving you time and providing a streamlined path toward your professional goals.

Internships 
Most sociology students complete at least one internship — and it isn’t unusual for those internships to result in full-time job offers. You can receive academic credit for internships at almost any type of organization related to your studies.
Students have recently interned at the likes of the Coalition for the Delaware River Watershed, Mercer Street Friends Preschool, Middletown High School Guidance Department, New Jersey Department of Health, New Jersey Office of the Attorney General, The Arc Mercer: Occupational Training Center, Trenton Circus Squad, and the Trenton Violence Reduction Strategy.
Mentored Student Research
Each year, sociology faculty members offer courses that give students the opportunity to work on cutting-edge, mentored research projects. You may also choose to carry out independent research with faculty support. Some students opt for a two-semester, research-based senior thesis as their culminating major capstone project.
