Mathematics and statistics students at TCNJ follow a program in one of four areas of focus: data science and statistics, mathematics, applied mathematics, or mathematics education. In each option, you will gain a strong foundation in mathematics and then apply complex problem-solving and technical communication skills in advanced studies according to your unique, individual goals. Accelerated/Dual-Degree Option
Get a jumpstart and enter the workforce with a master’s or professional degree. Accelerated options get you there faster and more affordably through fewer semesters of classes. Dual degrees offer a streamlined path to earning two degrees, often with direct admission to the graduate portion.
Medicine
Mathematics + Medicine, BS/MD — NJMS
First-year applicants can gain direct admission to New Jersey Medical School in this Seven-Year Medical Program (3+4).

Careers
Math and statistics skills are in increasingly high demand across all sectors of our data-driven world. Many of our majors enter the workforce as analysts, actuaries, cryptographers, data scientists, and statisticians. Others teach mathematics or pursue graduate studies —our math majors score big on entrance exams for graduate and professional schools.
