Accelerated/Dual Degree Program Options

Get a jumpstart on your future: Accelerated options get you there faster and more affordably through fewer semesters of classes. Dual degrees offer a streamlined path to earning two degrees, often with direct admission to the graduate portion. TCNJ’s articulation agreements with both the Rutgers New Jersey Medical School and Thomas Jefferson University’s Sidney Kimmel Medical College will put you on the fast track to your medical career.

The Seven-Year Medical Program with NJMS provides qualified first-year applicants with direct admission to a seven-year (3+4) accelerated dual-degree program. One of the many highlights of this program is its flexibility: It’s designed to help you balance the rigor of an accelerated medical program with the full college experience. You’ll still have time to pursue your other passions, whether that means research, volunteer opportunities, study abroad, or extracurricular activities.

TCNJ’s agreement with SKMC allows up to two eligible juniors each year to apply to the SKMC Scholars Program. If you are accepted, you will be granted early-assurance admission to SKMC and — provided you meet all requirements for final acceptance after four years at TCNJ — you will matriculate to SKMC as part of an eight-year (4+4) dual-degree program.
