BA in Psychology +MA in School Counseling

At a Glance

This CACREP-accredited program qualifies eligible students for state certification in school counseling and prepares you to work with diverse populations across the preK–12th grade spectrum. Once you graduate with your master’s degree, you’ll be eligible to pursue your LAC/LPC licensure and consider additional career paths. You can also take courses as part of the International School Counseling Program, offered in Portugal during the summer.

Accelerated/Dual-Degree Program

Get a jumpstart and enter the workforce with a master’s degree. Accelerated options get you there faster and more affordably through fewer semesters of classes. Dual degrees offer a streamlined path to earning two degrees, often with direct admission to the graduate portion.

This dual-degree program is a perfect option if you are already enrolled in TCNJ’s accelerated three-year bachelor’s degree in psychology. You will complete the bachelor’s program in May of your third year and subsequently begin taking graduate courses in the summer session, which begins in June.

Students who have already earned their bachelor’s degree can also pursue the MA in school counseling as a stand-alone offering.
